Description

The General mining and processing units (G.M.P.U.) of the U.P. are generally located on uninhabited moons without athmosphere since some of the mined and processed materials can be real nasty (e.g.Antimatter Uranium , Plutonium etc.) Those large industrial stations are also used to recycle the metals of old Spaceships after the reusables have been salvaged in an "Salvage and maintainance vessel" Have a look at a salvagevessel Here You see 4 Freightshuttles approaching the Main Processingplant. At the back in between the huge towers housing the salvage crews and their equipment, lie remains of old Starships waiting to be demontaged. Enjoy Dj

P.S. I almost forgot. This and the last render where my first renders on my new computer.Harr Harr.. YES !!! I must not rely on an Antique anymore. Now im prowd owner of a AMD ATHLON 3000 XP with 1024 MB RAM and a G-Force FX 256 MB Graphicscard. And i have to say it shows lol, it cut my rendertimes down to a 1/10 of what it was. Since Life Grafix is the fastet renderer i know anyway i should change my nick to "Renderflash" or something lol. Above Pic eg has 620 000 Polys 6 lights,1024+768 res and took with all shadows mirrors and transparencys 75 seconds to render. Harr Harr

Huge!!! The amount of time spent conceptualizing and modeling all this is tremendous. Once again you have proven that the imagination knows no boundaries. :o)

Interesting composition. I like the way the red-lit towers pull the my eyes deeper into the scene. Congrats on the new, more powerful computer. I know you will create some dynamite stuff with it!
