I've been a 3d "hobby artist" on and off since sometime around 2000 or so. I've never stuck with it long enough to get good or to learn any advanced techniques, but when I do "play around" I have fun.
I also started messing around with vector drawing, as I can't really draw. Using vector allows me to utilize shape deformation and tweaking to create my scenes.
As of right now, July 2018, I'm working hard toward a goal I've had for a decade plus, and that is to make physical card, dice and board games for adults as well as animations and some simple video games. To that end, I'm developing my own characters in vector. The style is simplistic but I believe it will be really good once I have several items completed.

wooooooowwwwwwwwwww awesoooooooooooomeeeeeeee! i'd ask you to render me a bigger version of this with no loss of quality so i can use it as my wallpaper, but i've developed a habit of only using my own work as wallpapers, so yeah heheh. i LOVE the atmosphere though :)

Excellent use of light. At first glance you almost see nothing, then it suddenly jumps at ya.

Hey bud, I was just cruising around your gallery and came across this image. EXCELLENT! Perfect amount of lighting and it does jump out. This one is truely a winner. Scary stuff. I think I'll put it up on my right monitor then I'll send you a picture of how it looks. Later!
