Description

The half sipped cup of French Vanilla coffee sits apologizing for only half waking the news reporter The abandoned cigarette is left smoldering in its tray... grey smoke curls up,up,up uncoiling... much to the chagrin and anxiety of its owner The piano in the corner sits remembering its music Waiting for the musician's caress while past conversations ring faintly in the air like tiny silver bells in the wind... The empty place has become so cluttered with the memory of faces that no longer come around How careless people are to leave their personalities hanging in the air like atmosphere~

I feel that when I enter someones home. Sometimes the feeling can be very oppressive, other times warm and comforting. Nice capture!

Wonderful imagery, the idea of personalities hanging in the air is fascinating. I love the atmosphere you created here by all of the little details. Very nice poem.

Well, you made a great 'impression' on me with this work .... and, you improved my 'atmosphere' .... so, in keeping with the earlier above reference comments of 'Casablanca' .... "Write it again,Susan".

Traces of people left in inanimate objects ... a striking metaphor and extremely well presented and developed.

I love this piece a lot, susan...how you made made the room a life unto itself...The space we live in does indeed tell a story, and there's so much we can learn from someone by taking a peek into the window of their private world. A wonderful story you've told from the perspective of the room! Vote!

How talented you are to be able to use mere words to paint a story, a beautiful picture.

Absolutely beautiful! You paint an image within an image. The memories left in a place, like smoke on a glass. Marvelous poem! I love it!
