Description

* Days I passed in my beloved shell, days of love, and days of care... Now I live abroad, I see just seldom the bright sun whose rayes caresses you, my Florence, my beloved friend: But you're within for every day that I won't catch your golden walls, your rooftops and stairs. The smallest glimpse of your lookin life and my joy sparkles, and my soul raises. Wherever I am , or I'm gonna be, I am daughter yours, for all I live.* ------------- Picture taken with Canon IXUS 400, in October 2002, no postwork. Location, Via De'Benci, Firenze. ------------------------ This morning that I am back in Florence, and the sun shines so bright.. I felt all the love for my town getting so huge I had to find a way to compose a hymn for it. This picture is gonna be in an album soon updated in my website among others (it's a life that I don't update that section.. sorry), and I thought about sharing it. It was way too long I didn't contribute to this gallery, and so I hope you all enjoy.

Nice to see one of your photos again. I can imagine the beautiful Florence with the shining sun that I have here. As always your image has wonderful complements, this hymn shows very well the love for your town, and I luv it as the photo with the compo and tone and the Mediterranean mood, like a halo, surrounding image and words. The name of your town is attached with names as Dante, Leonardo, Michellangelo, Botticelli... WOW. Thanks for sharing this, I hope some day I can see the especial light of Florence.

Beautiful photo - and I love especially the way you so gently and graciously show us new possibilities for life. The way you caress your beloved Florence like a lover shows me a new way to cherish my own small places. You are such a treasure, Meli!

Ah Mi, this is professional quality work. Stunning capture of a moment in Florentine life as only you could do it. I love the monochrome colour scheme here, and the crispness and clarity is phenomenal. Perfect composition too, in my opinion. (Ah, maybe one day I can visit) BRAVA!!

If been there only once but i always wanted to get back again. Sadly, i've got to see only a small glimpse of your beautiful home-town. Thanks for your excellent poem and this most beautiful shot. I hope to see more :)

One of the spots on earth more often mentioned by artists and art loving Americans... a wonderful place to be from, and be in. I agree that you are fortunate, very fortunate to be in Florence. Am looking forward to seeing more.

Oh I thought those two punks were stealing bicycles and I was wondering how you knew. ;) They say, "home is where the heart is", I would not say completely but a good portion is rooted to Firenze. The other portion is with your love, Steph. Change is hard but can be sweet, taste it dear, taste it.
