Apophysis betas12-16b - Ultrafractal3.02 - Photoshop7 - "Flood" filter by Flaming Pear
He is gone, but only physically - the "seeds" of His teaching remain with us....water them! :>)
Composed entirely in Ultrafractal, however the image had to be re-composited/layered in Photoshop7 to allow rendering in Ultrafractal of the egg separately from the flames and some "noise" from the flames was removed from the crosses.
Special and heart-felt thanks to my wife, Joanne ("gargoyle84") for lending me some layers for the crosses to tweak from her fine "Redemption" image here at Renderosity - check out her gallery! Happy Easter - a little early!

big huge vote WOW. Ok you and several others are reeeeeally trying to convince me to get this program (UF)... but I wouldn't even know where to start. this is gorgeous work!!! I love the name of this one, and before looking at the name i thought of 'hope' because something better lies within... and there was your title. Soul seed is PERFECT!!! with the symbolism of the egg and the dark details surrounding it... the possibilities of beauty within something complicated and dark. YAY!!!!

I deleted my email that would have lead me directly to this so I just started going through the gallery and spotted it without even seeing your name. Outstanding image, of course, but even more so for all of the symbolism it contains. The holy and secular themes of the ressurection combined in meaningful way, one of the best explanations of the egg as a symbol of Easter I've ever heard. The crosses are magnificent, as are the stormy skies and sea. Beautiful egg that hopefully does contain "the seeds" that will someday be listened to. Excellent work!! v

Rick, this is indeed special. Needless to say, the compositional excellence shines through..but brighter far is the spiritual light it casts on this gallery; an exceptional uplifting and beautiful image. I like the perspective you've used to emphasize your beautiful parable. The light shines through because He was and IS..the Light of the world.
