Description
As I looked around at the "Steps" it wasn't hard to see why they called them that..
Now I had to look for the "Alcoves and Camel hump". I was running out of supplies, but at least I knew where the Valley was. Should I keep on looking for the Alcoves and Camel hump, or should I head out to get some more supplies? I opted to get more supplies, only this time I would get a good supply, enough for at least 2 months.
Spent a few days in the nearest town. Got a shower and a decent meal. Surprising how you miss the normal everyday things.. 2 months worth of beans and jerky and canned tomatoes. Best thing on a hot desert day is the juice from a can of tomatoes..
Set up camp on the "Steps." It was out of sight and from what I've seen no man has been here for a long time.
Camel Hump should be pretty easy to spot, unless the weather and wind sanded it down, but the Alcoves, plural, not one but many of them.......
I had passed this spot by 4 times in the last 2 weeks, Too excited, not paying attention. I need to slow down and start thinking about what I'm doing. Gold fever is setting in and I need to take it easy.
Right there in front of me as big as life and I missed it 4 times. Damn, two weeks wasted...
As I leaned on the Camel Hump I looked at the Alcoves were indents in the side of the hill. All were in shadow, I'll have to check them out. The next clue might be there.
Next Clue/point is the Sun man.? What is the Sun Man??

This terraced terrain is most interesting. This is not uncommon here in the southwest. Beautiful work Frank.

Great pov and terrain; nice colours!

Quite a story! It will be very difficult to search all those nooks! The sides are so steep, like cliffs. You'll probably have to climb to the top, fasten a rope, and lower yourself into each of them by rope. Good luck!
