Description

Canon 10D + Sigma 28-300mm (at 195mm) ISO 200 f5.6 1/250 glancing through the layers upon layers of life and death the sun still shone strongly. It was silent...no motorway hum...even the wind seemed to silence itself out of respect. The only sound left was the click of my camera and my shallow breath as I began, for the first time in what seemed like years, to truly relax. I love it here, and hope you're enjoying it too. Tomorrow I'll be showing you a stone that gave me Strength...and allowed me to relax even further. Thanks for viewing.

Wonderful story, and fabulous photo. I like the way you've got the front in focus and the back out, it perfectly conveys the mood of the shot !!!!

In estonia all cuchers and graveyards were built on sacred groves. Because our ansectors believed natural religion, the german conqueres cut down sacred trees and built there their churches. But the earthly power of those places remained. I guess that in this cemetary are really big trees... PS. U captured never ending moment of this place :)

Spectacular image I love the unsharp background and the deep message of silence and quiteness!!! In the past, before Christ, the crosses didn't had the symbolism of the death, in Egipt, for example it was the symbol of the eternity power of the love.. the continue transformation othe fusion of the 5 elements... the death is not just fear!!! :)

I'm quite surprised about the amount of floral growth around the graves. The images in the background work well for me Stephen ...inviting the interest of the viewer.

Very unexpected and uncommon focus. Although the background isn't clear, it shows the silhouettes of the graves' crosses very intense. Great compo. Well done pic.

I can't even express how much I love this shot! I feel like I'm watching a movie on a huge screen - this is the opening shot... from here the camera pans up and over the tombstones like they are mountains... I guess it's up to you to show us where the camera goes next! I have been looking at this shot for at least 15 minutes, and I'm still in awe. Brilliant!
