Description

Here, scenes from misted ages scent our hours Unfolding on pages of gilt-embossed books, They give us gardens of memory flowers Tilting minds toward nearly forgotten nooks, Here, soft perfume arises to soothe the hurt, not hearts So burdened with the search for sweetness lost Here we can recline upon bookish beds Page-empillowed-with violets embossed Willingly we allow for vagrant thought, For the while, forgetting our debt to time We cherish the words graciously wrought Those word-violets the color of wine Words sown in soil sure, though antique used, So as to delight The Poetic Muse~ ( My first poem since I got out of the hospital with pneumonia of R lung thank you all for the get well wishes and images a special thanks to Dennis Reed for the Siamese Garden and Syncopate (Charlene) for the Pristene Rose and all the other get well IM's Still very sick and weak, 14 days of activity will be hard for me but today is the first day I have felt half human since I have been home I love all of you and so glad to call you my friends:) Love Susan

This is a beautiful poem ... it was good to wander through the eloquent verbal intricacies and see the images unfold and blossom: violets, to be sure, bring a message of hope. Hope your recovery goes well and quickly. Take care, Meic

You use words like a paintbrush. You make them flow so beautifully and effortlessly. They show the picture with little effort on the part of the viewer. So glad I found you.
