Description
I don't know if you all have kept up
with American Idol this year, but I love
the show for a few reasons. First of
all, I just really love musical shows.
Secondly, I love seeing all of the
virtually unknown talent that we are
blessed with in this Country. Finally,
the show really gives you the opportunity
to get to know these young men and
women over the 10 or so months the show
is on the air.
This year, as was last year, was a very
interesting and exciting season, due
to the ups and downs in the voting
process. I knew the first time I heard
Fantasia, that she would be in the top 2
finalists. She is unique talent and
has a wonderful emotional aspect of her
personality which comes through in her
singing. If you did not hear her sing
"Summertime" you need to find a way
to hear the song. She was amazing!
As usual, I did a pencil sketch of
Fantasia, and an outline. I brought
the outline into PSP8 and digitally
painted the portrait. The star, background,
sparkles, frame soft focus are from PSP8.

Cheryl, my wife just watched her last night on TV so I finally got to see someone you did, ( I am not by any means a Tv person LOl ). now with that little thing out of the way I must say the resemblence is striking, the skin tones are execellent, and the hair is right on, fantastic work on the dress, and the mouth, Cheryl my dear friend this is wonderful, you do such outstanding work on your portraits, and now the time has come for me to offer you a challange ( you knew that was comning huh LOL ), would you be so kind as to consider doing a portrait of John Denver for my wife......yours truly John

Another wonderful work, I just love to see the way your skills improve with each new piece as you continue your quest in using new tools... Here the delicate shading is superb...
