Description

This picture was inspired by a trip out southwest some years back, but also by the friendship between my wife, Karen, and her good friend, Tina. I've always admired the way women work at their deepest friendships. Not that men can't have such either. One thing's for sure, when a good friend needs the other, the latter is always there for them. In this picture, the owner of the adobe house has just broken up with her live-in of eight years and her friend has driven out to give her a hug and be there to listen. The dog isn't howling because he is sad for his mistress. He's answering a choir of coyotes behind the hill. The picture and story are made up and have nothing to do with either Karen or Tina. What it does have in common with them is that they try very hard to be there for each other when there is a need. Adobe was modeled by me in Bryce 5. Figures are P5 figures modified in Poser 5 Face Room and with figures re-apportioned. Ground texture was a net freebie. Cactus are all by Transpond. Thanks, Chris and Judith, some some more fine models! They also provided the distant Scrublands grasses, which can barely be seen. The dog is from Traveler. Thanks, Trav!

I really like this. This is a fine example of many of your works in its unique "feel". I can't quite put my finger on it either. Partly I think it is the brilliant coloration you use. Partly it is the light settings you have. But still it is more than that I think. You have a wonderful attention to details and putting a lot into your images to look at. I don't know how you are getting this look but keep doing whatever it is!
