Description

Every day I see a lot of beautiful postings. Although my slide collection contains a lot of wild flowers, a great deal of them does not excel in beauty. That is to say I've shot them for memory or determination. But they do have each their own story. Like this one, found on a rainy day. The black rocks, normally gray, color very dark and shiny with the water on the surface. The mountain alyssum (with the surprising scientific name Alyssum montanum) contrasts strikingly with this nearly vertical background. These flowers have succeeded in taking root in rock crevices. Fragile flowers breaking rocks. Nature keeps me surprising. I'm preparing a new series for another hike. There are moments of long hikes and of shorter walks, like this one today. Enjoy your weekend! They are very beautiful and strong, because they know themselves inside well.. Thank you for sharing a power.

This one has been made in... the Justistal, once again (coincidence or Freudian? :), ten years ago on a rainy Sunday, on the westside of this valley (near Sigriswil, Switzerland)

It's like the alyssum here growing through the concrete, and I'm always wondering how it can do that. It is an excellent image of extemes, and the slick, dark rock makes an amazing background.

Thank you JC. You're right, images like this one shine in another light than some others. But they are not inferior in any way. Not at all! :-)
