Description

Going through a forest it is amazing to see how old trees show their old age. They speak their tales of wisdom, already grown up long before I were born, taking root when my ancestors were still in dipers. It touches me to see an old dead tree. Nutrients are given back to the forest. Walking on a road in the forest I found this trunk, slowly consumed by nature. It has given a place for new life. The seedling of a spruce-fir, on the dead wood of a predecessor. It makes me think of that text in the Bible, about dying and living, in Galatians 2:20. I live because Jesus died for me. Sunday is the week-day we celebrate the resurrection of Christ. C.S. Lewis opened my eyes for seeing the life-cycle in nature as an expression of this major event our western chronolgy is based upon. Passing this iny tiny little green fellow (with the ability to become another admirable large tree) triggered these thoughts. Have a nice Sunday! Tomorrow the series that I made on the same day that preceeded this exposure. A day that I would never forget anymore.
