Description

this is still in very early stages, hope to have done by next week though, its going to be part of a small animation, similar to the one at the start of the beach level in the pc game MOH: allied assult. im trying to keep everything fairly low poly / simple as there will be a whole lot to render in the final pic. comments welcome...

The pic is GREAT... but.. even if they're just about to land, NOBODY would have their rifles pointed toward the back of their buddies in front of them. Rule #1: Your weapon is NEVER pointed at something you don't want dead. The rifles would be pointed upwards, held ready at waist level. Secondly, on D-day, the waves were so bad most of them were puking their guts out as they came in, and probably couldn't stand straight unless leaning against the sides or one another. I realize these things might be beyond the scope of your game, but you asked for comments... so, there ya go.

Excellent image. The modeling and texturing looks awesome. I do agree with servo about the posing, but I don't think it takes anything away from the image. I would love to see this with more boats if you could manage the polycount.
