Description


The bottle and stopper were modeled in Strata 3D (see the other image in my gallery). The glass is the standard Red Cathedral Glass material. I added three toruse and textured them gold to give some much-needed definition to the bottle. Also added a gold sphere as the pommel of the stopper. I did it as an Ultra render overnight (Vue 4), and then spent a LOT more time tweaking it than I should have. In PS7 I composited three layers and adjusted their levels to bring out highlights and shadows. I then thought the bottle was too dark, so I created a red overlay (minus the gold regions) and kept tweaking it. I

This is excellent! The one thing I can say to perhaps improve on it is for the glass to have more "glow" to it, simply because of the placement of the sun. Or perhaps you could damper the sun down a bit, then it would look better? Anyway, you're on the right track, and I love this image, by the way... :-)

heh..it is fun..I modeled a bottle much like this, in Strata 3d (probably an earlier version), but it didn't come out this well..great work..keep it up.

The bottle looks wonderful. Textured perfectly. Like prismrose said, mayne u could find another way to light the scene and show it off more. fantastic scene

I've tweaked the image in Photoshop and have set the background to a dark blue. I also added a little more red glow. I'll post it tomorrow so you can see what ya think! Thanks for all the constructive comments!

This is a beautiful bottle and you've really done well on the embellishments and the texturing. Can't wait to see the blue sky version!!
