Here are Chuck's personal words to the community:
I am a self-taught artist, formerly working in traditional or conventional media. For the last two years I have been experimenting with CG (Computer Graphics), and trying to transition from traditional/conventional media to digital imaging. In a few words, I simply love art and always have. Many of my images are "post-worked" by hand, re-scanned and manipulated in Photoshop. On occasion, I still use pencil, Prismacolor, Silverpoint, Pen & Ink or painting to achieve the desired effect. Whether executed the "old way" or the "new way" or a combination of both, which I often fall back on.
Art is art and it is the end result that is (hopefully) appreciated.

I think I might like this even better without the face drawing, or with a faided-out imprint of it. But it's a powerful and evocative composition, excellently layered. Lovely colours.

I love the layering and the sketch of the woman amidst the old letters is sweet. Overall composition is nicely done.

Love the title of this image- fits it very well! Does this have something to do with a long distance relationship between 2 lovers? I guess thats how I see it... I actually like the face in the image, gives me the idea she wrote these or is waitng for them... Excellent Image as always Chuck! cya

Chuck, your romantic side is showing. What a beautiful composition of yesterday's love. Once more your texture, colors, lighting and image are excellent. I do agree the hard line on her face is a bit overwhelimg. Frame..wow.

What a beautiful and sad image, both at same time. Sad because it shows us how fast we pass by the time (or would be the contrary?).
lemonjim
terrific frame, and contents too.

geez, wow, gosh... ::sputter:: Love the title, the "watercolor colors" on the lowest envelope. This is so wonderfully done. IMs and email just aren't as poetic, are they. :)
