------------- The Harpies - Telleminae
When Danai and Deurrine Ethelius headed south for the Viridian Empire, companionship was not what they were after. Set as a lynch pin between Cantellzan, Atheae, and Mauritius to the north, the Kang Empire to the west, and Hellenia to the south, Viridia is the only nation on the eastern coast of Callona where the drakma is worshipped over religion, science, art or war. The Imperium has endured through countless wars and spanned the breadth of human history on Arrallon, but it has changed little. The Caesar still rules from his palace in Virdus. Gladiatorial matches are still fought in the coliseum, and slaves of every race are sold at auction. In the wilderness, especially in the southern reaches of the Centeyean Mountains and along the bleak and blood red stretch of the Khangan Frontier, adventure and quick, horrid death await the bold and stupid alike.
Setting ashore in Virdus, the two seductresses first looked for rumors of adventure and discovered that what they needed was a guide that knew both the twisted city streets of the Viridian capitol as well as the back trails of the inland mountains, and who had some hope of survival amidst the Hill Giant tribes, the Khangan patrols, and the Darkriders of the Frontier. Enter Telleminae Autrocus, Gladiator and Weaponsmaster. Having recently won her freedom from the Gladiatorial pits, and now wanted for the murder of a half dozen slave owners, she also needed money fast, for in Viridia, almost any crime can be commuted if the price is right. She found the two raven haired vixens in the Guildhall near the docks and immediately fell madly in lust with them both.
Unlike many of the other women of The Harpies, Telleminae had never been heterosexual, driven away from male companionship by years of mistreatment or abuse. Nor was she of the idle wealthy, given to hedonistic excesses with both sexes. She had even less use for men than Danai. To her, men had only one proper place, at the end of her sword or spear. And her advances were not unappreciated. Telleminae and Danai became furious lovers, and Telleminae became the shield to defend the core of The Harpies.
