Description

Ultrafractal 3.02 - contrast sharpened in PaintshopPro7 - signature added with Photoshop7 Saw a show on Discovery where they determined that Horus was an actual person who was deified by the Pharaoh because of his lengendary skill in geometry and design. It was Horus who designed the ancient pyramids and many of the monuments in ancient Egypt, using his skills in geometry, and the beginnings of algebra. From these, much later, came the theorems of Pythagorus - from which came, 2000 years later, the fractal geometry of Benoit Mandelbrot. Hmm..."Horus, Great Great Grand-daddy of the fractal"? All the 96 layers of this image used the "Gnarl" formula with the Tapestry-x, Orbit Traps and Thin Orbit Traps 2 outside coloring ucl's. The textures are a mix of 3dSFBM, mt-Cluster, 3d Backdrops and Voroni ucl's among others with the mt-Pixel formula. The pyramids are made using the Platonic Solids mapping in the "sam.uxf" folder, the golden rim uses the Circle Limit mapping in the "plk-uxf" folder and the rounded shapes are made using the Glass Hemisphere mapping in the "Standard.uxf folder. Thanks for stopping by! :>)

How was I missing this? Excelent work, Rick, great example of the abylity of UF. I like how well analized are all components, the colour choise and the vibrating gnarl. A serious, wonderful work which belongs to your golden collection. Lisa:)

actually it was Thoth who was the mathemagician and the founder of the sacred geometry of which fractals belong to, not Horus ... doesn't matter, we weren't there to witness their skills and abilities, nor do we know that Adam and Eve were really human, Eve's bones weren't found confused ... so we all are searching in the dark ... anyways, an exceptional design Rykk :-))

Temporarily last but I hope not least. Another magnificent work, textures, techniques, colors, and forms all perfect. While I don't understand most of the technical stuff it is obvious that you have put a tremendous amount of work into this image. Beautiful results and I really enjoyed the history lesson! v

A truly magnificent picture, Rick ! I like the way in which the wire network seemingly encloses the top of a very decorative Baroque chair edged with gold .The starlit pyramids are very evocative ! All in all, a great image, Rick V. A masterpiece !!

Ok...I have come back and looked at this image countless times, completely facinated by the lines and the colors and the symetry. Never could think of just the exact comment to make that would convey exactly how it moves me. That being said, I figured I'd best just dive in and say the usual...Love it!!! Besides, everyone above me has covered it all anyway...and said it much better than I ever could have :-)

You know I'm blown away by this one, Rick... and I didn't realize I've never commented on it before now. My eyes were so glazed over with this incredibly stunning creation I must have missed the "talk to me box"... ;) I had to come and have another gazing session... it's beyond awesome... it's unbelievable!!

This wonderful work takes fractal creation to a new, sublime level. 96 layers??? That's more than I've used for ALL my fractals combined. :-) And great theme, also.
