Description

A scene in the Dune universe. I am a huge fan of the Dune series. I created an image of a sandworm a good while ago. I looked at it recently and decided that I could do much better. And I think I have. Before anyone comments, yes I know that there are clouds in the image and therefore moisture. So, that just means that it must be set some time after Leto II took power. So, on to the details about the scene - I modeled the worm and the thumper. The worm is made of several hundred metaballs and a few primitives. The Fremen is a Poser figure (with nothing but the defult Poser clothing). The textures are nearly all created from photographic elements available at mayang.com. I did a little bit of post-work in order to paint the sand. So, tell me what yall think. (By that, I mean - shower me in praise :P )

Nice!! i love the worm. i am currently trying to model one in Wings3d. dont think it would come out looking better than yours. I also love the dune series. keep up the great work.
