Description

Yesterday, I uploaded an image of a sandworm on bursting from the surface of Dune. I recieved positive response from posters, for which I'm grateful. But I wasn't completely satisfied. This is basically the same image, with some more tweaks. The worm is a bit more complex (made of 940 metaballs and primitives), the sky has been changed, and the POV altered as well. I thought the improvements (at least, I feel they are improvements) warrented a new post. You're all welcome to tell me if you agree... - Michael Shur www.shur-design.com

The orange sky and extra sand and different POV make this one more terrifying for sure. The sense of scale and all is awesome! Excellent job!!

A much better version, and you fixed the clouds! The only thing I don't like is the texture of the "gums" of the worm. They look wooden to me. Great worm though

Great work--a real sense of motion, it feels like the worm is bursting out of the ground, which Im sure you intended. great work with the background and sand particles as well.
