Description

Yup. Yet another LotR themed images. Treebeard, one of the first Ents. Probably one of favorite characters from the book. Everything was modeled in Bryce by -- yeah, you guessed it -- ME! Treebeard is made of a bunch of metaballs, a few primitives, and a LOT of trees created with the Tree Lab. His beard is actually made of several hundred trees, all positioned so that you can see only their tops. As for anyone who doesn't like the Bryce Tree Lab, well, they obviously do not know how to use it improperly. Lol. I did a bit of touch-up in photoshop to tweak the colors and sharpen the image. I'm not really all that happy with this image. It's just that I've been working on it off and on for a long while now. So, I wanted to justify that effort. Anyway, tell me what yall think. Thanks! - Michael Shur www.shur-design.com

Sounds like you're alot like me; Bryce can do more than many think or for what is intended. Great job manipulating the trees! I understand the justification part also.; you've put alot of patience in it and it shows. Excellent++!!

I looked at this for a second and thought, "Another Curio's Ent picture" It's excellent work and at first glance I mistook it for a commercial product. Definately worth a vote!
