Description

In earlier days church buildings were the highest points of a city. Nowadays skyscrapers go for the top. Reaching out for heavens! But didn't it become like the tower of Babel (Genesis 11)? Agfa Optima 1a (Agfachrome 100 S, 35 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Excellent capture from a great height. This was never the vision of London which I had. I always imagined it to be a very ...... colonial kinda building and streets........ not these high towers and all.:O))

A fantastic image!!! sharp, balanced & perfectly composed! quite thought-provoking too. Makes me think about how much life has changed. As much as i love technology, i would be very much at home living during another century. Yeah, life was hard and cruel sometimes, but I'm a tough girl who's always worked pretty hard anyway. when i was a kid (and even a teenager) I'd dress up in clothes that native American and dance around shakin my tambourine, pretending i was growing up in ancesters' time. Or i'd lie in the grass, look at the clouds and imagine myself growing up in old Italy, the other part of my ancestry. Now it's getting hard to imagine the U.S. as a place where the "buffalo roamed." Growth & development have taken over and your image represents this. Sorry for long post! :) it just really made me think about these things.

successful shot and skyline. Showing buildings everywhere and no place! The nature must die for it. It looked like spain around Barcelona, because of the many cranes.

I can't say I've seen London from this perspective before. I must say its a lot more industrial looking than I had pictured in my mind. It also looks polluted! Excellent realistic shot of what it really looks like!
