Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

Good on you! This was a meaningful trip to me... as it brought back touristy memories for me too. London always seems to be sp absolutely SATURATED with human life that it seems nothing distinctive will emerge except thayt which is cliched. The Londoners aren't exactly the most colorful in their work-a-day world. But what a city of history. I loved the Tower, St. Paul's, the Galleries.. but talk about busy!

It looks great, I mean London is supposed to be foggy. Very nice shot, has a nice calm mood to it.

Honestly it makes me glad I live in the nice, wide open desert with blue skies and lots of cactus. I guess I'm just not a city girl at heart. Excellent shot, Jan Carel
