Description

Modeled and rendered in LightWave 3D. Logo created in CorelDraw. This image has been updated to the purple version from the previous grey version... thanks to the input of friends here in the community, :o) This image was created for some friends who are going to open up a chain of kiosks that will sell specialty shakes and assorted beverages. I've been asked to design a logo, create corporate identity guidelines, develop packaging for their product, design the actual booth and perhaps even do a bill of quantities and a set of construction drawings. I have two days to complete as much as I can. This is the proposed logo and possible application on a tumbler. Total production time from concept to render was about 4 hours. Going to start work on the actual kiosk now. If I have time to revisit this project I would like to experiment with foam using hypervoxels, and will attempt to make condensate on the glass surface. Thank you very much for taking the time to look at this work-in-progress.

Forgive me for this my friend, but please restrain yourself when designing the booth, the world is not ready for an steel plated armoured dystopic beverage kiosk complete with chainguns and a psychotic, schizoiphrenic artificial intelligent attendant. However....on the other hand...

Logo looks cool and gets the message across. Just for the hell of it when you've finished the project I think you should do a Dystopia version kiosk like the one jarm mentions above.

All that in two days? Chyaaaaaaaa....... I don't envy you. I've been at it since I was 17, so I s'pose i shouldn't bat an eyelash at it. Still, makes me want to call your friends and tell them packaging IS the product, 'specially in food. Is CocaCola such a fantastic drink? Or do they have particularly amazing marketing history? Considering there are franchises out there that market Coke branded merchandise, I'd guess it's about the marketing. Two days doesn't seem like enough time to even brainstorm effective ideas to explore, let alone put any thought into target demos, blah blah blah. Aug. Sept. issue of Dynamic Graphics (not a great mag, but good and lite) had a nice look into launching products. I quote: 'purposeful methodology and lots of research come first'. However, they chose an exceptionally talented and prolific artist, This is a fantastic peice. What separates this logo and look and feel from the well over ten thousand new things launched this year, let alone established brands who are already doing exceedingly well (starbucks, baskin-robbins, DQ, so on, so forth.. they may say, oh, we're not competing with those folks, but guess what? they are.) Great gravy. Two days seems kinda unrealistic. I did say you're prolific and exceptionally talented, so I'm sure you're up to the challenge. I'm loving this comp.

Thanks for the input. The logo will go with the purple banding. Already finished logo application on letterheads, business cards and envelopes... finished a uniform concept, finished the draft for the menu... still waiting for equipment dimensions and the actual measurements of the kiosk space, don't have a back-of-counter workflow diagram yet.

Yeah, the purple one looks much better than the grey one. Good luck with surviving these two days.
