Description

When it is difficult to approach a glacier, it is very useful to carry a telelens and zoom in on it (once again). The ice-pyramids are called 'seracs', the remnants of an ice-cover torn apart. On this location it is almost impossible to cross the glacier (I don't intend to do that anyway, we'll just remain safely on the track :). The vista here is a detail of yesterday's Ice on the move 2, zoomed with a factor 3 (that makes a factor 12 compared with the first one!). Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 300 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

A beautiful feature in nature.... Noticed all those rock segments in the ice.... If this blue was the actual colour it must have been quite a wonderful sight... More-ish!

Sharp image with nice contrast. Abstract. When I cover the lower left corner, it looks like hundred summits in the sunset.

totally amazing, how can any thing man invent compare with natures natural evolvement.. wonderful, plus must of be quite breath taken to be standing in front of the ice whilst taking the capture, like addiek the colours within the ice are awesome.. well done.

They look like small temples in a row in iNDIA. How about trying a sepia tone to this one and check how it looks??;) An earthy feel to it that is.:O))

i had no idea that the glacier would look so incredibly beautiful! You really nailed this one! Sometimes there are paths we just can't cross, no matter how tempting it might be! Good for you that you stayed on the straight and narrow! Staying on track, on GOD'S path...well...that's when we're safe! Vote for outstanding capture! Psalms 119 1-16
