Description

The Grimselpass is a pass that leads you with the car in a comfortable way to 2165 m (7217 ft). This pass is visited by many tourists and even with bad weather the traffic load is impressive. It is a perfect starting point to hike a little higher. But we can enjoy now already the vista on the Rhônegletscher (Rhône glacier). I want to make a nice hike to get a better view on the glacier. Do you join me? All right, let's prepare for the hike! Picnic stuff, tanning cream, coat, hat, mountaineering boots, maps.... The weather is perfect, sunny with only little clouds, and some wind to cool us. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 100 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

The buildings on the right indicate the huge scale of the rocks and glacier. A very impressive scene, beautifully photographed.

Now that cars don't overheat, and need altiitude compensating carburetors and starting gears going to the mountains is a fresh beginning. The ice has that diry lace look of yellowed and grayed Victorian garments. It could even be a whig for the mountain!

We dont need to come with you, you do such an excellent job photographing the amazing views, we can all sit back and be lazy! Amazing rock formations here, and you captured the textures so beautifully. =)

So savage and virgin like: the nature without human alteration! It give me always a cosmical feeling : this kind of nature is universal, this can be found on many many planets in our galaxy. A fantastic shot and the glacier in on the good place on the shot. Most EXLL ! V

I've got my gear, let's go! I need to get away from it all and this looks like the perfect hike for me. Magnificent glacier...reminds me of some I've seen in Canda.
