Description

We live with death from the moment we take our first breath As the circle of life spins round as the patterns are woven with our life threads time seems both finite and infinite depending on one's point of view we die with life praying for a new existence free of strife As the shadows grow closer as the angels begin to sing we draw comfort knowing that the end is a form of a new beginning we anticipate changes unwilling to let our timelines restrain us we live with death let us die with dignity with loved ones around us and no sign of pity _________________________________________________ Doing a lot of thinking today, now that Mom is in a place specializing in palliative care... It's odd. My Dad died in 1993 and it was a real shock. I had no idea that the 2nd amputation could end up with him dying... With Mom, it's almost worst knowing because every time the phone rings, your heart leaps into your throat and you wonder, "Is this it?" This pic is one I took on Sept 11th, 2004 of Mom sprinking the ashes of my Dad's dog on his (and someday her) gravesite. Tomorrow would be my parents' 51st wedding anniversary.

thanks. It was odd, when Skippy died in March (11 yrs and 2 days after my Dad died) this was Mom's plan... to sprinkle his ashes at Dad's grave. But she was getting less and less healthy. Plus, until the day I took the pic, she had only been to the grave once since my Dad's funeral. I always thought she stayed away because of the fact that her plot is there as well, her name has been on the gravestone since she ordered it and I always found that a lil creepy. But the 11th was a beautiful day. She wanted to do it close to when my Dad's bday was (sept 14th) and have the family there and she enjoyed a lovely outing. My hubby had to work late tonight but once he's home we are going up to see her. Maybe now, with specialized care, her remaining time will be as pain-free as possible and she'll feel better.

:( It's very beautiful what you've written... and my words are few when it comes to sorrow. My silence grows. I know there's more after the soul leaves the body here... and still it's no real comfort. :( Hugs and more hugs, Efry
