Hi ~ my name is Gordon Arnold. I am originally from Croydon, 10 miles south of London, but have lived in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in the north-east of England for over thirty years.BIOThis photo of me was taken by my sister Wendy, aka Gabrielsdream, in September 2005 at the Alnwick Garden in Northumberland.
I've been taking photos since I was about nine years old, I don't specialise, it's just whatever appeals to me at the time! Since going digital, I have discovered the possibilities this offers, and am learning all the time.
My interests apart from photography are music, theatre, art, architecture and museums, travelling and always combined with food, glorious food!
Because I suffer from a rare incurable bone marrow cancer, and have just started a fifth course of very punishing chemotherapy, involving periods of hospitalisation, I am not around on Renderosity much at the moment.
Thank you for viewing.
~Gordon~

A lovely image of a really interesting town, which suffered terribly in the floods of October 2000. Beyond this gateway and to the rear of the building on the right, is one of the oldest bowling greens, over 360 years old! Only a few steps looping to the left you will discover a tiny round cottage, originally the base of a windmill and once fleetingly owned by Virginia Woolf, in 1919. A town steeped in history and culture! Great work, Gordon.
