Description
Big thanks to all, for the helpful comments on my first Terragen image. They were just what I wanted. Enough to encourage me to try a second ,and my first attempt at trying to create a surface.
Think I have along way to go :).But did have fun trying.
Hints and Tips very much appreciated.

Karen, this second image is a little darker and maybe less ambitious. However it is complete, contained, and with no sliced off mountains. There are many of these little loch / lake / tarn points-of-view to be found in Terragen, once we flood it a little. If you use the option to squash the terrain, you will have much lower, more rolling terrain, and more cloud to work with, and maybe some reflection in the water too. Keep working at it.

Welcome to terragen, Karen!! You will find TG to be as addictive as UFractal! Like they told me, look up all the tutorials you can find. The surface layering is really hard to learn, and it just takes practice. You have a great start here. A lot of links and tutorials can be found at: http://www.terrasource.net/#learning Just have fun!!

Looks like another promising TG artist spreading some creative wings. Try focusing on terrain settings a little, and then play with sun and clouds- each one enhances and also flavors the other. Good advice above.
