Description

This shot I dedicate to the girl who knows how to enjoy animals like these. Enjoy it Alexis, you could almost touch this one!!! Looks a bit like a bighorn sheep, eh? Well, you could say this is the European bighorn sheep! Here he is, his majesty himself, a bit higher than where we stand. It's standing on the ridge, looking down on us! These ibexes move with a slow pace, very majestically. They walk as a king, slowly but with dignity. They're royal animals that match very well with you, little princess!!! Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 70 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

You are clearly very brave for getting so close to an animal who could do a lot of damage with those horns!! You're right, you can reach out and touch him! Super clarity!!! Beautifully done =)

Wow! Jan-Carel, I can hear the rustle of the dry grass, the sounds of the insect. I can feel the sun through the thin air, the slight breeze across the back of my neck, and smell this 'wild sheep'. The ibex has posed regally for a shot, and is now poised, ready to walk off, unconcerned with its alpine 'papparazzi'. Congratulations on this shot, John.

Wow! He is a solid looking beast and needs no crown with those horns! I love the way you've captured him, with just the blue sky behind! Fabulous!
