Description

On the other side of the ridge we see some ibexes, enjoying the late sun-rays of this day. This one is not too shy, and on a safe distance we can see it sun-bathing! His royal highness enjoys the vista from his throne, that is clear! And he allows us to come in his proximity. As if we're in heaven where animals are no longer afraid of human beings! What a joy! Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 300 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Well, of course, FL 300mm. Very nice shot! Could serve as an image for a biology picturebook! As the rest of your series!

my eyes fill with tears of joy. Look at him! look at that expression of peace all over him as his sits, covered in light. sigh. i feel kinship with him...yes, as if we are in heaven! There is harmony in his expression and pose. What is that verse in Job that talks about the beasts and letting us learn from them????? I feel this ibex has something to teach us about filling our heart and soul with the love and glory of God. He looks completely at peace, completely unafraid! Incredible, soulful capture, Jan-Carel!!!!!!!!! vote!

For me, this one is the best in the "ibex serie". The details, the attitude of the animal, the colors and the light are gorgeous... I vote for this one!!!

King Ibx, master of all he surveys. Great series, one wonders if those nimble footed creatures ever slip and fall from those perilous heights.

This is my favourite in the 'Ibex' series too, it's just wonderful! The lighting is perfect! He must be so confident and fearless to appear to be this close to the edge!!!

Wonderful work again Jan-Carel ... the DOF gives a sense of 'size' to the mountains behind.
