Description

While going down we get a good view on the Hohgant, a top of 2197 m (7208 ft) with a covering of rocks (Steinige Matte) measuring 30 cm to 1,5 m (1-5 ft). On this distance those rocks appear as a grey covering. The grass is brownish, typical for the mountains in fall-time; within a couple of weeks these mountains are covered with snow until spring-time. I'm not sure about the origin of the light (in the sky), but I think it is caused by reflections in the atmosphere. I had not realised that mountians take on this reddish/brown colour in autumn, how amazing. That is a huge rock, and I can see you are very high up! It must be scary looking down, you're very brave! Excellent view =)

That is sure one big fossil!! The sky and clear air richen the foliage that has encamped on it.
