Description

Early in the afternoon and late in the afternoon - find the differences.... How appearances change in a brief space of time, that fills me with awe for my God every time again, in whose creation I walk around and show you only two-dimensional representatives of this reality! But there's no way to share the whole experience of being up here, to hear the silence, to feel the breeze and sun-rays softly touch the skin, to view the panorama lighted by this giant lamp shining on our planet every day, to feel the solid rocks under our feet, to be immersed in this landscape where time seems to have stopped. But I keep trying to take you with me and show you this world full of miracles, even when I'm out of Swiss chocolate.... :) I hope you enjoyed! Tomorrow I hope to conclude this series with a surprising end of this day! Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 300 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Oh no! Out of Swiss chocolate??? That just won't do! Lucky for me i have a hidden stash in my backpack! greedily pull one out, tears off wrapper, and enjoys. Don't give that look guys! I got plenty more. See? Help yourself! 2-D shakes head nuh uh! i'm right here and seeing/feeling/hearing all this...and WITHOUT 3D glasses! I feel the joy of this place!Spinning with arms out I put my hands on these mountains and feel the life inside. It moves through me like electricity, a jolt...a rush...takes my breath away! Put your hands right here on these rocks and feel. Close your eyes. Feel the joy rush thru u! hold on on tight...may knock you down...because it WILL take your breath away! I feel the divine presence of God here...unmistakeable! You show a world of miracles and I am blessed to experience them!!!! deep breaths Wondrous, awe-inspiring captures, Jan-Carel! High-5! Feeling the pulsating energy of these rocks in my big feet, I start my ascent! Yippee!

Thanks Jan-Carel for this other breathtaking landscape! And you are right : nobody can feel through a photo what you really get by being on that place. So beautiful!

Looking at the stratification, the complex folding of even a few lines is seen. The real thing seems more real after viewing some Terragen. Two lights hammer home the splendor.

I agree with you in everyway....even down to the chocolate!!! I have to say that your photos, and your way with words are a close second to being up on the mountains...it's also safer lol. I love the second photo (cuz of the purple), but seeing the difference in a space of a few hours is remarkable. Amazing captures =)

Yes, you summed up the feelings of a serious photographer. We feel, often, very inadequate to convey what we see, feel and breathe. The pictures are only substitutes. However, in a couple of pictures you have transcended that limitation and managed to convey the true splendour. Bravo!
