Description

Another odd one... the pic is one I took at CLub ABstract of my friends Kevin, and Mike and my half-sister, Leah... you may be able to notice the mulitple exposure effect I got with my digital camera since Kevin has two heads and my sister is both upright and leaned backwards, you can't tell as much with Mike... I used the sandstone effect to add to the surrealism of the image and increased the contrast somewhat as well...
______________________________________________________________________________ Surreal Puppeteers
weary from a sleepless night and dreams that bite trapped in a haze moving in a daze a mental state of confusion
the dawning day seeps surrealism it pools upon the earth looking like a peaceful lake when it is a tormented ocean full of hidden and overt dangers
walking on stilts of knives puppeteered by ancient fingers unable to find a soul beneath the worn, whittled exterior of oak
Eyes of pain cry defeat rouged mouth moves in obscene invitation limbs move spasmodically on a whim
Words of encouragement coated in heart's blood spill over drenching the maligned marionette leaving a permanent stain
Governed by surreal puppeteers there's an abundance of pain, loss and fear dancing and performing for catcalls and jeers can you feel shame when you are still unnamed
Paint the eyelids shut glue the mouth dismember it and put the unsalvageable pieces into the flames warm your hands cradle the undamaged torso and begin a new creation

'cradle the new creation'....that is our charge now, though we are in different stages. I don't think there is any greater gift that you can give someone than to stand by and help as we can while they 'move on to their new reation'....their soul level. We have been given tough jobs. be well

Ooooh.. I really like this, such a creative and descriptive way to express these feelings. I especially love the end of it!

"trapped in a haze moving in a daze a mental state of confusion" -- Just be glad 'yours' is only 'temporary', unlike mine. WINK. Magnificent written piece. Vote.

THanks Brian :) Honestly - this one and "End of the World" aren't directly about me or neccessarily how I feel, on a conscious level - subconsciously... who knows?

This flows well, although I don't really know what to say about it, because I am unfamiliar at this time with the feelings it expresses Although it is interesting, or maybe more so it is... I find you interesting"Warm Smiles" Thanks for sharing Cara Mae.

Every day seeps surrealism, our realities are only what we perceive. The thousands of people we see everyday are all alone in their own worlds, never to be really part of ours. Great imagery throughout, the soul of the marionette is perhaps found only in it's creators imagination.
