"Elegant Vigil" By David J. Reid aka "Shardz" Software Used: Poser 5, Photoshop CS After coming up for air in the deluge of two rather large and CPU intensive scenes I am currently producing, I needed to create a test render utilizing Daz's Candleworks for a little experimentation. The following scene is a result of my play time, and is simply just for fun and I thought I would share it with the community for kicks, and to offer a couple opinions of my own (imagine that!). I realize this image has some minor problems with lighting and whatnot, not really looking for a 'fix-it' list...I just thought it looked kind of cool and romantic...and *simple* (something I'm not very good at doing). First off, Luciferino and Malefic created the nicest Wrap set for the V3 Fantasy Wrap 2...I just simply love playing with that set. Very talented artists, and I am inspired on a daily basis. Again, I choose Harley for V3 by orion1167 due to the fantastic and versatile texture set that is included...just love those characters. Another fun filled trivia fact; I am using Arduino's Magic-G genitals on Harley and I was a bit amazed how that turned out. I don't think I will be showing Harley's Magic-G on this site anytime soon as it's really not my style, but there might be times where she lets her guard down with some semi-transparent garments. All my female characters will be using this as I simply don't believe in censorship in artwork, and Daz's lame attempt to somehow get us all to forget the female anatomy is incredibly 'Corporate American'. I don't use PayPal or any other site that pressures stores, merchants, and artists to 'dummy up' the harsh reality of the fact that we are actually human beings with sex organs and sensual desires at times. Venus De Milo with a trenchcoat anyone? But I digress.... Stats & Geek Stuff: This image was raytraced and took ahwile to render as all the candles have their own lighting systems (how long I dunno, I was at work). I honestly didn't care for the raytraced look in this scene much..I noticed little difference with the candle lights, but did notice more detail on the stone floor (which I really didn't want, either). Photoshop comes to the rescue once again fixing lighting, shading, some shadow fixes and other things. I'm honestly not a 3D prude and don't mind mixing media to get the job done, so yes...the flames are post work, also.
