Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

i never saw yellow trees like this before! this capture shows the massiveness of this place...going upward looks pretty difficult here...so steep. makes me think about that race/run up the Jungfrau (i think it was Jungfrau). slow and steady walking, maybe...but a run? i need to intensify my training! anyway this is an incredible view and makes me realize the enormity of the mountains a bit more. very nice lighting! a most impressive capture!

Very impressive view of this wild part of this mountain :) Beautiful!

Very interesting... My eye is tricked by the scale, at first seeing it as a closeup of a small area, then being jarred into reality by the trees that give a feeling for the true scale. Nice work.

Beautiful terrain displacement!

This is an incredible capture. You can see where the growth of the tree's are larger because of that little sunlight rays upon them. Excellent capture. Aloha

The cool of the mountain terrain offset by the warmth of reflected sunlight on the trees makes for an impressive contrast. Great capture.
