Description

Sentinel like You stand at night Your twisted arms Holding varigeted flags That wave in three quarter time To the winds wild anthem~ Your knobby tentacles Are sweet sucking sustenance From the frozen dirt Your furrowed hide Is holding laughing sap Warmly inside~ Sentinel like You stand at night Firm against the earth Braced through winter's whiteness You wait, for the greenness of spring Then again Your twisted arms will stretch and shake With the weight of new riches~ Well this thumbnail uploaded LOL....My mom is home and doing better, still room for improvement, but I am glad she is well as she is... So cold here in Ky tonight 20 degrees and we had snow yesterday Thanks once again for all your get well thoughts and prayers...You all here at RR are one in a million As always all views and comments are welcome...

A well-crafted poem full of deep thought - excellent job. It is also amazing how well the thumbnail sets up the poem (though I long to see the whole picture :o) Keep up the good work.

Oh this is sooo beautifully written! I can just close my eyes and see the tree in my mind and feel winter's cold. Yet there is hope and the prospect of renewal. Lovely work and thank you for sharing this!

I can't imagine a more perfect image for this beautiful verse. I like the part, "Sentinel like You stand at night Firm against the earth Braced through winter's whiteness" Nothing more majestic than a tree, and what stories they could tell. I love this, hon.
