Description

The Prodigal Daughter Returns - Waiting for Professor Lazarus (noir version) Originally created: 3-4th of October, 2001 ** Reworked 15th of July, 2002 in BRYCE 5.01 *** Further reworked August 2003. (NOIR version) Created with: * POSER 4.03 * BRYCE 5.01 (rendered in) * Photoshop (overall image postwork) Freebies used: -------------- (note: URL's may be very well be out of date now!) * "CyberWoman" by Arduino -- a POSER figure -- (textures/materials added in BRYCE for render) (I'm not sure where this figure is available from now.) * Free Lamp (.3DS), Copyright 2001 Light Vision 3D Author: Mikel Mazlaghani (textures/materials added in BRYCE for render) * Scroll (.OBJ) by Geoffrey Sagers http://www.sagersweb.com (textures/materials added in BRYCE for render) (actual scroll illustrations texture created in Photoshop using POSER renders by ZOT) * Chrome Table (.3DS) by Matthew S. Anderson www.the3dstudio.com (textures/materials added in BRYCE for render) * desk_lamp_ii (.3DS) by Matthew S. Anderson www.the3dstudio.com (textures/materials added in BRYCE for render) Note: power cord removed from model used in render by ZOT * "chair01" by smokestudio http://www.geocities.com/smokestudio (textures/materials added in BRYCE for render) Note: original file was a 3D Studio MAX file and was converted to a .3DS file for this project. * ZOT's Gun (.3DS) A 3D model I reworked to create a unique looking gun for my own uses. Chevy's Shar3D site. http://www.shar3d.com/ Note: the model isn't perfect! - I was just a beginner! - Nothing much changed in that area! :-) Freebies Textures/materials Credits: ------------------------------------ Besides some of the native BRYCE 4/5 textures used and tweaked by me, textures from the following sources were probably used in some way...(I've got so many that I'm losing track now.) * Casperium Graphics http://www.thedalles.net/%7erdj15/cg3d/site1.html * Syspics Digital Imaging http://www.sysops.clara.net * Tony Lynch http://www.tonylynchdesigns.com/ * K.Weiser http://www.weiser3d.de * Floor Material "Fussboden" http://www.p-hornburg.de ======================================= Whew! Since I used (and do use) so many freebies I always think it's important that they get their due credit even if it's just for polite recognition. The orginal of this image was in colour as was the reworked version, but it wasn't until I was playing around one night that I created a noir version of the scene and it looked 'right' for me. The noir version differs in that it's in black and white and it has a dark mask around the scene. As to the title of this project: "The Prodigal Daughter Returns - Waiting for Professor Lazarus" This is actually two titles that I wanted to use for the image but I couldn't decide which single one to have, so....you get two for the price of one. :-) One final thing to note is that the Cyberwoman POSER model is supposed to have a light blue bar across her eyes in the helmet viewport obscuring them. But in the original work I did in BRYCE 4, I somehow deleted the bar and you can plainly see her eyes. It kinda looks a little strange with those eyes, but without seeing them the dramatic look would be lost, so in effect it was a good mistake. ;-) Z.
