Ancient joy by cagewench

Last night when I laid my head to my pillow I prayed for peace, enlightenment and guidance... I do not recall if my Mom appeared in my dreams but I had an odd sensation (still do) that I've attempted to capture and share with the following poem...
And the pic is a crop of one I took in the summer. I cropped this to only show bark and then colourized it sepia because I felt it fit better.
Ancient joy
silent all is quiet unnaturally so this stillness in my hectic mind is foreign I see an open plain and do not know what seeds to plant or if there are already things growing beyond my current field of vision There is a fog rolling in from the sea A lighthouse in the distance calls to me The air is clean When the wind confronts me I feel (peaceful?) different I can caress the bark of the ancient trees and feel their vibrations I am alone here unafraid in this idyllic place so new and yet so old to me something gleams in the distance I press my forehead against the oak tree's trunk and the music begins I can dance I know this melody but cannot reproduce it yet I have thrown myself wholly into it lifetime upon lifetime whenever I found the secret door for a minute, an hour, a day perhaps once, a lifetime how long shall I be held this time swaying and silent praying and peaceful with an abundance of ancient joy I once knew

I could feel the roughness of the bark against my flesh. Very well written. After the night I had last night dealign with the spiritual realm this gave me great comfort.
