Description
This is a 20 minute exposure with a 205mm lens on Kodak HD 400 (a new film from Kodak).

So is that the Pleiades or seven sisters? Looks like it. You say 20 minute exposure. What about the earths rotation? How did you compensate for that? Very nice!

I used a 35mm camera "piggy-backed" on my telescope - it has motors to compensate for the earth's rotation. Here's the scope - http://www.rubiconbay.net/scope Thanks for the comment!

Me too. I was traveling when the best time to shoot this took place. What day was this, Friday? Very nice shot...I wanted to take a photo of this too but I don't think my digital camera alone could have done the job. V

I tried this same shot last night, needless to say it did not come out this impressive. No telescope and no tracking motor, but with a tripod and a 20 Sec. exposure. You could still tell it's a comet. This is the fourth comet that is visible to the naked eye this year. Thank you for sharing with us. Most Excellent!
