Description

Uhh, feel free to tell me exactly what you think, never really done anything like this before, eep! Spitting eyes the acid burns spirits fade away. An empty shell is left alone ...glow... long ago gone. Once lived to see to tell of tales of far fetched dizzying heights. The prophet did not tell of woe, of bad times still to come. His mouth closed, sealed he led you blind to the life you left behind.

Hi Jo, good to see you here :) I think this is awesome. I espeially like this part: "His mouth closed, sealed he led you blind to the life you left behind." Not just irony there but tragedy. V

Good to read your work again ... and this tightly-worded and dramatic piece certainly does not disappoint. But if prophets did tell, we'd never act - so maybe the neglect is deliberate, and, over time maybe for the best.

Thank you so much for all this support :) it means so much as this is the first of this less 'typical' poetry I have attempted to write. Jo x

Excellent piece. VOTE Btw-imho-there is no such thing as 'typical'. If that was all that was allowed, TallPockets would be off writing stuff no one would ever read. (Ooops! Now I understand - WINK).
