Description


Not exactly sure what the name of this structure is, but I do know that it houses the funeral cart of the last king of Laos. This building is in the temple complex of Wat Xieng Thong in Luang Phrabang, Laos PDR. I spent a few days there on vacation, coming back to the sites of some urban conservation work I had done a decade ago before Luang Prabang was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It was very fulfilling to see how the city has been both conserved and improved, by intelligent and responsible development. Thank you for taking the time to view this photo.
