Description

Clouds and mountains mix on the horizon. The vista on the Grand Ballon some days ago was much better. Here it is just biting cold. Time to jump in the car and drive home! Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 35 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

A very impressive capture. The clouds give it an eerie feeling yet peaceful in nature. Don't want to get caught in that mist of clouds while hiking. Beautiful job. Aloha

tears falling I feel like i'm right there in the mist, just hovering. jeesh this is freakin' incredible, jan-carel...so beautiful i can hardly breathe!!! (or maybe it's just my asthma!! LOL!) This one feels 3D or 4D or 5D or something like that!! haha. really, what it feels like is one of Imax movies where you watch this screen but it's sooooo real it's like you're right there. I've seen a couple...once a rollercoaster and once being a plane. It really is just like you're right there. that's what this one is like!!!!! Helluva a capture & what a way to end this trip!!! vote!!!!

This gives me reason to ponder, Jan-Carel. Savage beauty, Nature's power, biting cold, thin air, dangerous heights, seeping damp from the mist, blinding light from the reflected sun... but we learn to live in it, adapt by machines, clothing, tools, and yet are always struck by the beauty, always have our sense of awe and wonder exercised - sometimes against outr will.
