Description

Its almost as if these three observatories are just sitting there and watching the heavens. In a sense they are. On the left is the Subaru Observatory. The other two on the right are the W.M Keck Observatories (Keck 1 and Keck 2). There is one more Observatory that I missed. Its the United Kingdom Observatory. I will be back another day and another trip up here. Say good-bye to the observatories for now. The Hawaiian words are "A Hui Hou" (Until we meet again). I'm head down hill and will park my truck at the 13,000 ft level. Time to hike a trail and find Lake Waiau. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

Beautiful parting photo, esp with Maui in the background. It reminds me of 3 children sitting on the edge of the ocean looking out over it-don't know why. I can't wait to see the lake.

they are sooooooo lucky!!!! and now i am too because i get to see heaven too!!! Wish i could sit out there right on top of one of those telescopes, dangle my feet, and stare for hours!!! Magnificent capture & breathtaking view!!! aloha!!!
