Description

......on Route 66 ....this famous refrain was part of the theme song to a television show from more than a few years ago!! As this highway was essentially the main thoroughfare through much of the southwest, much "developed" along it's roadsides.... it is still a great way to get a sense of the area... And then there's: Frank Sinatra who got no kicks from champagne, mere acohol didn't thrill him at all..... We all get our kicks, our jollies our joy in our own special way ... this image is in honor of the birth of a very special little princess whose PopPop will surely get a kick out of her!!! One more Monkey jumping on the bed....!!!!

I'm ready to go get my kicks!!! LOL!!! sure does put me in the travelling mood!! this image makes me smile and remember days when i was a girl travelling this route with my parents. Thanks for the memories!!! :)

Used to live off of old 66. always made me think of keruoac before the song. then i'd think of the song. which made me think of java jive. and then don't get around much anymore. and then i'd be singing old jazz standards in my old standard 68 VW toolin down old 66.
