Description

Thanks for the suggestions on the last pic... the main purpose of this pic was to give it all a try. I was trying to make a small natural jetty of sand and tiny pebbles. the water line is made with three increasingly darker shades of the sand. thanx for looking : )

Great terrain and surface layers. Nice water effects also.

Excellent shoreline - I like the way you didn't use 100% foam too, and included a realistic waterline. If you're into postwork, here's a trick: make two renders of a picture, with two different surfaces (Rock and Sand). Add one picture as a layer to the other, and use a clone brush to brush in pieces of the other photo. That way you can selectively make sections of your shorline rock or sand. Or for that matter, you can "tweak" a photo in much the same way by setting the opacity of one of your layers to 50% - that way some of the original picture shines through. I sometimes use this technique to get multiple water levels in a picture. (A muddy brown pond up high, above a clear blue lake) Oh no - the secret is out!
