Description

This weeks series of four images are all in subtle colour and reflect lost messages. For some time now I have been focusing on the abstract textures and colours left behind as the paper disintegrate to the elements, leaving only tattered little pieces behind. These fragments of varied sizes are held in place by now mostly rusty staples, nails and even screws, bleeding their chemical compositions and printers ink onto the paper. As for 'Find Waldo', (long pause). I am still getting used to the LCD screen of the camera, I will admit that I did not notice at first the image of a face among all the little pieces of paper and staples until it came up on the computer monitor. Hence, the title and a little humor. I would like to thank all the people who stopped by and commented on 'Open'. Future posting and projects in progress have been updated on my 'home page' for the month of March. Thank you for stopping by. Vielen dank das Sie vorbei gekommen sind. Perhaps you should have called this "Find Waldo & Company" :-) - I almost hate to admit it but I have found 4 faces, but then again, I am a bit strange :-); sorry, make that 5 - I looked again, only one is perfectly human though - the textures are magnificent and the edgy-ness can lead to wonderful viewpoints! Had to do some deep research for who is Waldo, lol. Its like finding a needle in a Hay stack. I do see one picture that comes to me first. Very amusing display to capture ones attention. The heart of the subject is within. Aloha

A very intriguing shot Egmont, I do not really understand what has been going on here but that adds a very real air of mystery. The shreds of paper make a very pleasing texture and the yellow band and rusty staples which are in just the right place make a wonderful contrast in what would otherwise have been a very busy image. Bravo!!

Wonderful image, a collection of lost messages, great concept. At first I thought it was larger than it actually must be, like the scene from a dump. That is a testament to the detail you captured. I found Waldo (right away actually)--I "sometimes" enjoy these little suprises when I download my images to my computer. This time it worked. He reminds me of an actor, can't say which one though. Brilliant concept and image.

I found Waldo, but guess it's not the same as yours! mine is smoking!

An abstract but beautiful shot :) I found Waldo .. like a signature on the lower left corner :)) I enjoyed the colours and the general impression of distributed colours in space given by your shot :)) a beautiful shot:))

Si daca as scrie asa ce ai intelege? :)) [If I would write like this what would you undestand? :)] I've found a sad face (hmm - might be because I am too sleepy!) and a drunk face! :)) really! I think that was a great idea! :)
