Love this work and is amazing how each of us will interpret it differently. Beautiful composition.:)

You have quite the imagininative interpretation of this. Mine is the dangers of how this sort of thing used ot be for the service people when they would have to clinb these poles. Not to mention the forgetfulness of the people posting them. A great image to provoke thoughts.

Love this intense textural series! In response to your note, I view these photos as abstracts. Due to the close cropping, they lose their reality and become studies in texture, form, and color. Great work! V

well ok then, i would never have gotten that interpretation from viewing this...lol... i do know they've been outlawed here... & in this photo i can appreciate the texture, colors, hardware & rust... so very clear as if you cut it out & stuck a frame around it :] ++top work!

Response to DELMUR: All images of mine are at high resolution and when imported into Photo Shop, they are each converted to 300 dpi before any post work begins.

Id say this is very abstract and very clever. I especially like that rusted screw in contrast to that fairly new nail. The staples looks awesome. Great work once again!!!!
DELMUR
Yes ! it's good, because i saw pictures which are good on web, taken with cheap camescope! but,Some years ago,it was trendy to take Polaroids enlarged to extreme with frame...All is possible!

ooooooo very sexy! Now where did I put that hammer? lol.

me neither would never of guessed the interpretation of this concept of life study reflecting art.. a side of my nature yet to explore.. in reguards to saddistic sexual erotism.. l guess like literature and the marquis de sade.. but can aprreciate the artistic design and quality of photography, looking more closely and reading your imformation can see beyond into the hedonistic nihilism...very powerful work.. :)

And beneath The Crucifixtion there was Love!!!

Old screws, new nails, rusty staples, bits of faded paper. The fact that we can take so much away from an image such as this is a testament to the artists in us. Very thoughtful image, well composed and perfect detail. I like the fact that in this one the text had 99.9% disappeard from these old flyers. It becomes more of a wordless scream that way....

first let me say i love your title, really makes it seem this stuff has been given a tough way to go!! the composition is simple yet very effective, a dynamic subject to shoot as i'm sure it'll be constantly changing, being added to and taken from!!! and again i really like the color of the rust leaving it's mark on all it touches! outstanding capture, very well done!!!

Grossartige Aufnahme!!! Die Farben sind sehr interessant. Man kann jedes Detail erkennen. Excellent!!!

This is a fascinating series which I would call Abstract Realism, a photographic genre which I really like but which I seldom pull of to my satisfaction. Despite the excellence of this image I prefer the previous one with the yellow band which seems to emphasise the texture of the rest of the frame. Well seen and captured. Top marks!!

I'm afraid I must defer comments on this subject having spent one hitch in the Army, one in the Navy followed by 2 years working Emergency Room - I have had all the violence I care to endure - no disrespect for your composition my friend, but I really do not wish to explore something that retrieves such memories. My very best regards, Paul

As curator of this gallery, I have decided to pull the remaining two images of this series. The point I was trying to illustrate with the image 'Stapled, Nailed and Screwed' has been made. It is clear we all see and interpret the same object with different views and opinions based upon our education and exposure in life. Prior to posting and during the editing process, I had significant time to study the photograph when I began to relate to it differently. Feeling a significant amount of pain, I tried to imagine what it must feel like having someone staple another piece of advertisement onto a thick layer of paper and possible even penetrating the wood of the telephone poll itself. As paper is a by-product from wood, the emotions I felt were more intense. Then came the arrest of the suspect in the 'BTK' killings that was just announced this weekend. My impressions were transferred from one image to real life and the renewed pain of the victims families were now facing once again, while the person fastening with fervor the fliers became the serial killer. It is an unusual journey that we have ventured here together, as I thank everyone who has posted their honest feelings and thoughts.

eeeheee, now you got me.are you sure you're not a writer?hmmmm - you see the subjects of your photos as a writer and that's super...you know something? I write poetries... and everytime I read them over and over again I find another meanings in them; so, I guess that is the way we see our photos - different everytime!

I saw the title of this- and I was reminded how I felt at my last job.... but anyway whatever interpretation this is- Im not one to go too "in depth analyzing what feelings this is supposed to convey," It just looks cool to me. I like the textures, the color (how the color is weighted around the center), how the left side appears burned while the right side appears pale & white.... Hell- it looks cool. There are too many armchair analysts in the world today. I'll just take my mind-altering drugs & look at it some more!

there is a story in it.fascinating texture. an excellent photography,Egmont v #:O)

Egmont, I am a little afraid by your shot :) the story is so dark and painful ... anyway, if I stay at the general level and look at the composition, the texture is beautiful and the colours according to it :)) For me it's an abstrast composition pleasant to be seen :))
sossy
very impressive artwork and capture! wondering how the layers show different tornfaces caused by the time! great variety of emotions! ;o)
vlaaitje
very impressive artwork...very creative so as always...well seen
madame
This is an extraordinary composition but I'm also a little bit afraid from it :) Stunning abstract and surreal artwork !!

I'm not one to over analyze images.... what attracts me to the two images in this series, is simply the depth of it. The layers of paper, worn and ripped are pleasing to my aesthetic sensibilities.
moonfish
The variety of reactions is as remarkable as th eimage for me....

A fabulous image, so rich with random textures! The aging effect of weather. The tight cropping is perfect, forcing our focus on the details, the texture!
