Description

Walk to Sulfur banks: One of the most noticeable smell at Kilauea Volcano is the smell of Sulfur. You can smell it in the air almost everywhere you go. You can expect the rainfall to be acidic. I'm on a trail to the sulfur banks. Stay on this trail as there are many steam vents that could be dangerous. The mountain in the background capped with snow is Mauna Kea. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

Sulfur!? Brrrr. Not too good for health although some curing methods can use sulfur. Acid rain etc., it will all cause the landscape and nature to be formed in an unique way. Incredible landscape! rolls eyes Thank you for sharing this beauty!

your photography has brought us images so varied in its geological terrain, it is fantastic and great. Sorry you had to endure such odors but I think it was worth it as you brought home to share with us a very great photograph. V
