Description

I do not know how it is in other parts of the USA outside of California, for here everything is fenced off with barbed wire and signs posted saying 'No Trespassing- Violators will be Prosecuted'or a sign 'For Sale'. I recall my childhood years in Germany and other parts of Europe where one could walk about freely as long as one respected the rights and wishes of the property owner. So here I am, in a nature preserve and a barbed wire fence and gate runs through it. It has not been maintained and yes, people have cut sections of the barbed wire in order to move forward. I find the location of this gate puzzling but also an interesting setting to be photographed. Now that my poison oak is getting worst, I am thinking one more return to capture those images in which the light was not right. The things we do . . . Thank you for viewing and providing your kind comments to 'Under a Canopy of Oak Trees'. This is enchanting. It's quite very much like this here in RI as well.... In fact this sort of thing is an invitation to me, to go forward and see just what it is that I'm not supposed to.... trespassing or not. As far as too light/too dark it looks perfect to me..... but that being said my monitor is properly calibrated.

Why do the man is always so violent... and crazy ! A gate in a forest is really a pity ! Violation of what ???? it's really a perfect shot, the place is enchanting and I like the light of this shot. Thank you too for your technical details, I've got a Mac too and will try to see the settings of my gamma. Have a nice night.

That is a very contraversial topic! the native Americans could not understand ownership of the land, when they were approached by the "White man", who wished to buy their land, they would reply "You can not own the mountains, or the river, or the sky!" It is rather silly. But I could tell you stories from "The other side of the fence" ; ) Excellent topic & image!
