Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. Sheila, Lava tubes are formed when the extraction of molten lava flows beneath the harden lava surface leaving a hollow tube. These tubes can be very long. There are many lava tubes from another volcano called Mauna Loa. In past eruption of this large volcano, they feared that lava might travel underground towards Hilo (my home town). Luck was with Hilo.
